Five on Friday

Hey, Y'all! Friday is here! My hubby is on his way back from a week in China and so I'm extra happy to see Friday today. Linking up with sweet April and friends for Five on Friday!

{one} Ray LaMontagne is so talented! His voice is just as smooth live as you would imagine. The only thing that slightly disappointed us was that he only played songs from his new album! We were so hoping he'd play one of his "oldies" like You are the Best Thing, but it was still a really good concert.

{two} Speaking of concerts, at 10:55 I heard that Sara Bareilles was coming to Madison Square Garden in July and tickets went on sale at 11 am. We usually would think this through ahead of time but I made a spur of the moment decision to try and get tickets. By 11:05 we were set to go! I can't wait to hear her sing Brave. :)
{three} We had a neighborhood adventuring day when we went to Park Slope in Brooklyn for the day on Saturday. It was so cute and reminded us a little of our neighborhood in Manhattan. We strolled around the park, had a delicious lunch at Bare Burger (right up my alley) and then headed back to find a place to watch the Kentucky Derby.

We ended up at Stony Rose and it was just right. We sipped mint juleps, watched the derby and enjoyed the view of Central Park. The only derby hat we received was not well liked by Bailey. She has discriminating tastes, apparently.

Our pups are such a part of our family. I don't really even care if that makes me sound like a crazy dog lady. They are sweet friends and companions and especially when my hubby is out of town, they keep me company and are my little {and big} guard dogs.
Sadie needed a hair cut so we took her to get one this week.

Much better!

Best buds :)

{five} My sweet friend Lindsey and I had so much fun this week. We grabbed margaritas and guacamole on Cinco de Mayo and dinner at Red Farm {where we sat a few feet away from Willie Geist!} last night! I'm glad she appreciates and loves the Today Show people as much as I do!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Thank you so much for stopping by!

I would have been so upset if he didn't play "You Are the Best Thing", too! It's one of my all-time favorites! Have a great weekend!
