Five on Friday

Happy Friday, Friends! I'm excited to link up with April, Darci, Natasha, and Christina for another fun Five on Friday!

My mom came for a visit this week and we had the absolute best time! It meant to much to me to have her here, and I think it helped her in a small way to see her how we're adjusting to our new life up in the big apple. We did lots of shopping, eating, walking and exploring. Can't wait to see her {and my dad!} back here in a few weeks for Thanksgiving!

Dinner at Pomodoro the first night. 1) The food was amazing and my authentic Italian Mama approved! 2) This is the only picture of the two of us from the entire trip. All others are of her, me, or scenery. :)

My love comes back today! He has been in China for the week and we've missed him around here. I'm excited to have my partner in crime back to explore the city with me this weekend!

I mentioned that layering is super important here. The weather is confusing to me as I am hot and cold all at once depending on the side of the street, sun or shade, walking or standing still. I've been on the hunt for a new puffer vest and ended up buying one this week. I loved the one from J. Crew and probably would have justified the splurge, until I found this one at Gap. It is just as cute, in my opinion, and I love the removable faux fur trim hood. Not to mention, a fraction of the price!

Several times a day I am asked if and/or told: I am a dog walker, both those dogs are mine, have I tried such and such harness/collar/trainer, I have my hands full. Several. Times. A. Day. We need professional help. :)

Pictures from this week with Mom!

The ING NYC marathon took over the city on Sunday and it was an amazing sight to see! We were really inspired by all of those runners...and also were content to be spectators only. ;-)

The fall foliage is SO pretty in Central Park and around 'town' right now!

 Dinner at the Smith!

Shopping break for a Magnolia cupcake and latte in the park..yum!

Sorry, Mom, for posting this, but that sangria could not be forgotten! Dinner at Calle Ocho.

I hope y'all have a wonderful weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by!
